Special Announcement

From Pastor Bill and Pastor Geoff

We are eager to share the news that Pastor Geoff will be our new Senior Pastor at Refuge. God has been stirring Pastor Bill’s heart to transition and the Lord has raised Pastor Geoff to step into that role.

We are happy that this transition is not happening because of a crisis or emergency but rather it is a deliberate movement of the Holy Spirit. God has called Pastor Bill and Joy to stay at Refuge and to continue to be on staff and to continue serving the family here.

We are excited about what God is doing and will continue to do at Refuge.

  • Bill and Geoff have both been on the leadership team as senior pastor and co-pastor for several years and have worked closely together. Pastor Geoff has served as missions, connections, and high school pastor over his 18 years here at Refuge. Because of their tight relationship, their mutual respect, and common heart and vision for Refuge many changes have already been happening. Our focus in the transition is to continue to stay true to the vision of who God has called us to be as a Refuge family for the people in our community. We will not make changes for change's sake but will continue to seek the Lord, as we always have, for where He would have us go now and in the future.

  • We will continue to faithfully teach The Bible in an expository manner.

We will continue to be evangelistic as we continue to focus on The Great Commission that Jesus gave His disciples to “Go everywhere, tell everyone that their sins can be forgiven, making disciples of all the nations, baptizing them and teaching them Scriptures.”

We will continue to be a part of the Calvary Chapel family of churches.

We will continue to be deeply involved in global missions and church planting in regions of the world where there is a true need for more churches to carry on the Great Commission.
